Things to Know...

Tattooing is a process of implanting pigments underneath the skin.
There are several techniques in which to implant pigment beneath the dermal layer of the skin. One technique use to tattoo is the handstick and poke method using sharp stones or bones of animals. Another technique is by using a machine to color or microshade the skin to deposit pigment under the skin. Another method used is by cutting or slicing the skin to deposit the pigment beneath the skin. This method is called microblading. Microblading is not recommended for people of color (ie. Asian, American Indian, African, Middle Eastern etc.) or anyone with melanin or oily skin. Over time people of color or with with oily skin, the oils in the skin will cause the simulated (faux/fake) hair strokes that were sliced into the skin will become blurry.
Eventually this will not look good (hot mess) and definitely not flattering.

Cosmetic Tattooing is not for everyone, we will always make sure that you are an ideal candidate to receive a cosmetic or medical tattooing. Our clients become our walking billboards! We want you to have the best possible results and we will recommend the best technique suitable for you.

We will discuss any concerns or questions prior to beginning your procedure. If for any reason, we do not feel you are an ideal candidate, we will either do a patch test or explain why we believe cosmetic tattooing is not the right fit for you. Every procedure includes a thorough consultation via in person or by Zoom. Next you will electronically fill out the consent form.

During your first visit, expect your appointment to last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, depending on the procedure chosen. Remember, it is perfectly normal to be a bit nervous but we will talk you through the entire process. You can expect your artist to take before and after pictures, and go over the ideal pigment color with you, as as well “map” your tattoo to ensure we achieve symmetry and the perfect shape for your face, explain the tattooing process and thoroughly go over aftercare with you.
